'Trapped in a Dreadful Dream': Loved Ones of Missing Teens Await Answers After Ski Resort Inferno

The relatives of teenagers lost after a tragic inferno at a venue in a Switzerland's winter destination are confronting an excruciating period of uncertainty for answers and requesting clues about their children online.

The fire ripped through the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Confirmed video reveal the ceiling catching alight as beverages with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Emergency services have indicated that it could take an extended period to formally name the those who perished of the fire, which resulted in the death of 40 people and wounded another 119. Authorities said on Friday that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts ongoing to locate the final individuals.

In the waiting period, loved ones have been using social media to appeal for clues about their loved ones who were in attendance that fateful night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For

The fate of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, a teenager, are still unconfirmed, according to an public plea from his mother.

The resident of a town near Lausanne, explained to a local newspaper that she had returned to the city to check whether he was in the hospital, while his other parent did the equivalent search in the capital, but could not find him.

"This is a living nightmare, an ordeal. The options are finding my son in the morgue, or I find him in critical condition. Words cannot describe it," she stated.

She added that some of his companions had been found with injuries covering nearly half their bodies. "It's indescribable; they experienced an absolute nightmare."

The Italian government has confirmed that six of its nationals have not been located.

Junior golfer Emanuele Galeppini, sixteen, was last heard from around midnight on December 31st, his father said.

One of those is Emanuele Galeppini, a 16-year-old junior golfer, who hailed from Genoa but now residing in the UAE.

The national sporting body has released a tribute that he is no longer with us, without mentioning the fire, honoring a "talented young man who represented passion and true sportsmanship."

His father, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around the new year. An official spokesperson has stated that a formal confirmation of his death is still pending.

Additional Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise among the missing. His mother said that he had been on holiday but had ventured out with friends and ended up at the venue.

"A companion said they ran away after the fire broke out and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a specific moment he lost sight of him," she said, adding he had been wearing a identifiable gold chain.

One of his educators commented, "I remember his kindness and positive demeanor, combined with great responsibility. He would frequently ask if help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Greek and Swiss nationality but lives permanently in the country, was also at the bar on New Year's Eve, according to sources.

Her sibling has published an urgent request online, saying the family has had "no news" regarding the teenager or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.
