This latest animated series, the newest animated series by Critical Role, unveiled an exciting opening credits. It showcases our favorite cast of misfits, misfits, and rogues kicking ass and making their mark, while teasing at multiple heart-wrenching personal histories for characters such as Liam O'Brien's mage Caleb, and Travis Willingham's warlock orc, the character Fjord.

Overall, the opening looks stunning. However, I felt that an element was missing in the music selection.

This sequence employs "Welcome to Wildemount", a truly stellar composition created by producer and singer Colm McGuinness. This piece from the official score of the same name, the second one released by the production company's music division their music brand. It's a great sentimental choice, and I suspect that fans of the second campaign will love its presence.

But for me, The series' opening fails to capture the hype and excitement that accompanied the second campaign's actual-play adventure. "It's Your Turn", composed by musician the artist, was an instant classic for me when it was initially unveiled in 2015, and it improved further when co-founder Sam Riegel wrote words to the tune for the animated Campaign 2 opening in 2018.

Including singing from Ashley Johnson, another performer, a co-star, as well as Riegel himself, the track was catchy and enjoyable. Back then, I hadn't even watched the second campaign yet, but it was so infectious that I still saved it on my device. This track that knows how to get you pumped before you dive into an installment of adventurous fun.

The show's intro with "the new song" fails to hit the right notes for me. It's a grand piece of music, but based on my understanding of the group, I can't help but feel that its tone is a little off.

Naturally, the creators has stated that the series will have some changes and variations from the original live sessions. A tonal change for its intro appears as among these.
